The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has said that poverty, unemployment, food insecurity and limited access to healthcare are among the main concerns of residents of Helmand province.
OCHA said on Thursday, October 1, on X that residents of Helmand raised these challenges during the agency’s visit to the province.
According to the agency, economic difficulties and limited access to basic services have made it more difficult for recently returned migrants to rebuild their lives.
OCHA added that returnees in the province also face multiple challenges in finding work and meeting their basic needs.
