Pakistan’s military media wing has claimed that “33 terrorists” were killed in separate operations in the country’s Balochistan province.
The media wing said on Friday night, Sept. 25, on X that the individuals were killed in various operations over the past five days.
According to the statement, the Pakistani army claimed the individuals were members of the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA).
The military’s public relations office claimed that 22 of those killed were affiliated with the TTP, but provided no information about the remaining 11.
The Pakistani government refers to the TTP as “Khwarij” and the BLA as “Fitna al-Hindustan.”
Pakistan has also accused the Taliban in recent years of supporting and sheltering TTP fighters, but the Taliban have repeatedly denied the allegations.
