Senior Pakistani military commanders have stressed the need to take action against what they describe as terrorist positions in Afghanistan.
Dawn reported late Friday, October 2, that the senior Pakistani generals described the Pakistani military’s recent strikes on locations in Afghanistan as counterterrorism operations and called them successful.
According to the report, the Pakistani generals reviewed Pakistan’s security situation during the meeting and emphasized the country’s right to self-defense.
The meeting was told: “Only the delusional Taliban leadership, which provides a platform for terrorism on behalf of India, is responsible for the consequences.”
This comes as Pakistan has carried out three air operations in Afghanistan since September 21, following terrorist incidents in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
