At least six people have died after a passenger vessel capsized off the coast of Northern Cyprus.
The Associated Press (AP) reported on Sunday, August 30, that the vessel was carrying nearly 270 passengers and crew members when the incident occurred.
According to the report, search and rescue operations have begun to locate passengers and move people to safe areas.
The exact cause of the vessel’s capsizing has not yet been released. Authorities are investigating the incident.
