Masoud Pezeshkian, Iran’s president, has said that the United States will gain nothing from increasing economic pressure on Tehran.
Al Jazeera reported on Wednesday, August 26, that Pezeshkian said Tehran’s approach is based on resolving issues through dialogue and negotiations, but that Iran will continue to withstand economic pressure.
He added that Tehran is seeking to resolve differences through dialogue and negotiations, but will not surrender to increasing economic pressure from Washington.
The remarks come as tensions between Iran and the United States over Iran’s nuclear programme, economic sanctions, and the course of negotiations between the two countries continue.
