Abdullah Khenjani, head of the Political Committee of the National Resistance Front of Afghanistan, has confirmed that Hasib Panjshiri, a senior commander of the front, has been killed.
Khenjani confirmed Hasib Panjshiri’s death in a video published on Thursday evening, August 20, and described him as a “great commander.”
He did not provide further details about how Hasib was killed.
In recent years, Hasib Panjshiri had fought against the Taliban in various areas, particularly in Panjshir Province.
Meanwhile, the killing of Hasib Qawa-e Markaz has drawn widespread reactions from social media users, as well as several political figures and opponents of the Taliban.
