The Special Trust Fund for Afghanistan (STFA) says that the economic empowerment of women can also create employment and income-generating opportunities for other women.

The organisation reported on Wednesday, November 4, that supporting women entrepreneurs in Afghanistan not only expands their economic activities but also helps them train other women and create opportunities for their financial independence.

According to the report, a woman in Nangarhar Province who started producing pickles and jam in her home kitchen has increased her production capacity by 50 percent after receiving financial support and equipment.

She now produces a wider variety of products, and her sales have expanded from local markets to major retail outlets in Jalalabad.

The Special Trust Fund for Afghanistan added that the initiative has also provided training and apprenticeship opportunities for other women. Some of the women who received training have now established their own small businesses.

The organisation emphasised that supporting one woman can create greater economic opportunities for other women and help them achieve financial independence.
