The Taliban’s National Statistics and Information Authority (NSIA) has announced that 71,347 birth cards were distributed across Afghanistan during the first six months of 1405 (Hijri Calendar).
The authority said in a statement on Wednesday, September 30, that adults received 49,501 of the cards during this period.
Another 21,846 cards were distributed to children.
According to the statement, Kabul ranked first, with 42,742 birth cards distributed.
The National Statistics and Information Authority added that 13,548 death certificates were also distributed across the country during the same period.
