Local sources in Baghlan province have reported a tragic incident in which the Taliban assassinated an unarmed civilian. The victim, identified as Mohammad Amin, met his untimely demise on the night of Thursday, August 31st, in the village of Khawosh, Khost district, Baghlan province when he was fatally shot.
The Taliban have levied allegations against Mohammad Amin, accusing him of collaborating with the National Resistance Front, which allegedly led to his brutal murder. However, sources within the area vehemently assert that Mohammad Amin had no ties to any military group and was an ordinary civilian.
It is important to note that Mohammad Amin had recently returned from Iran to reunite with his family in this village. This tragic incident follows the Taliban’s recent detention of 15 other unarmed individuals in the same district just yesterday, on charges of collaborating with the National Resistance Front, subsequently incarcerating them.
