Sources in Ghazni say the Taliban have given residents of Nawabad Township one week to leave their homes.
The sources told the Hasht-e Subh Daily on Monday, August 10, that the Taliban have again threatened residents of Nawabad Township with forced eviction.
According to the sources, the Taliban summoned several neighborhood representatives and community representatives from Nawabad Township on Sunday and gave them one week to leave their homes.
The sources said the Taliban warned residents that they must either vacate their homes and markets within one week or face forced eviction.
However, the sources added that residents of Nawabad Township, insisting on defending their rights, said they would not leave their properties.
This comes as the Taliban have also ordered residents of Kabul’s Omid Sabz Township to leave their homes.
