Local sources in Ghazni have reported that the Taliban have imposed restrictions on residents’ nighttime movements in certain areas of the province.
According to these sources, on Tuesday, July 4th, the Taliban implemented limitations on residents in several villages on the outskirts of Ghazni city, as well as in the Khaja Omari and Jeghato districts.
It is reported that the Taliban have warned residents of the Naw-Abad, Qala-e Shahada, Tawhid-Abad, and Rawza districts in central Ghazni, stating that they are prohibited from leaving their homes or moving around in these areas after 10:00 PM.
Similar restrictions have also been confirmed by sources from the Jeghato and Khaja Omari districts, where the Taliban have imposed nighttime restrictions on residents after 10:00 PM.
Some affected residents in these areas have emphasized the serious challenges posed by the imposed limitations, particularly when it comes to transporting the sick to healthcare centers.
The reasons behind these restrictions remain unclear, as the Taliban have not provided any statements regarding this matter.
It is worth noting that last year, according to a previous announcement by the Taliban, residents of the Rawza, Naw-Abad, and Shahrak-e Mohajerin areas in Ghazni city were required to remain inside their homes during designated hours unless they had a valid and essential reason to leave.
