The Earthquake Casualties in Takhar: One Person is Killed And Four Others Injured

Local sources in Takhar province say that the earthquake killed one person and injured four others.

On Tuesday night, around 9 p.m. an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.8 shook parts of Afghanistan and a number of cities in Pakistan.

At least one person died due to the earthquake in Shingan village of Farkhar district, sources said talking to Hasht-e-Subh.

As a result of the collapse of the roof of a house, one person was killed and four others were injured, and a child was also among the injured.

Local sources in Panjshir also say that two children and a woman were injured after the roof of a residential house collapsed due to this earthquake in Abdallah Khel valley of this province.

The exact and general figure of the number of casualties and damages of this earthquake is remain unknown.

Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman for Taliban, has announced in a series of tweets that the health centers in all of Afghanistan are ready to receive the possible casualties of this earthquake.

The 6.8-magnitude earthquake tonight left at least two dead and 150 injured in different parts of Pakistan as well.

The depth of the earthquake was 194 km and its center was fixed in Kolfagan district of Takhar province.

Previously, the intensity of this earthquake was reported as 7.7, but recently the German Seismological Center has announced its intensity as 6.8.
