Kabul- More than 15 hours have passed since the power outages in eight provinces, however, officials at the Parwan Electricity Authority say they have not yet found the technical problem.
“Currently, electricity has been cut off in eight other provinces, including parts of Kabul, Parwan, Kapisa, and Panjshir provinces, said Mohammad Arif Ahmadi, head of the electricity department in Parwan to Hasht-e Subh.
According to him, the imported electricity of Uzbekistan has been cut off from 7:30 pm on Friday night, January 7th, due to a problem in a power line imported from an area in Pol-e-Khomri city, the capital of Baghlan province.
The teams of Breshna are looking for the technical problem, however, they have not been able to fix it yet, he added.
As soon as the problem is solved, the imported electricity from eight provinces will be connected, DABS authorities stressed.
Meanwhile, despite recent DABS contracts with Uzbekistan and Tajikistan to import electricity, the lack of supplying electricity has increased in the capital and some provinces.
