In a heartbreaking turn of events, a young girl in Panjshir Province has reportedly taken her own life, casting a shadow over the village of Tandkhoi in the Dara district. The incident unfolded around 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, March 10th, as the life of Hakima came to a tragic end.
Hakima, identified as the victim, had been engaged for approximately 26 days prior to this unfortunate incident. The circumstances surrounding her untimely demise point towards underlying family issues, according to local sources.
Since the distressing event, the homes of both Hakima and her fiancé have come under the scrutiny of the Taliban, who, as of now, have not issued any official comments regarding the incident.
It is essential to highlight that, in the aftermath of the Taliban regaining power, there has been a noticeable surge in the incidence of suicide among girls and women across several provinces in the country.
