US President Donald Trump has announced that a deal between the two countries could potentially be reached within the next 48 hours.
Trump said on Wednesday, August 5, that negotiations between Washington and Tehran were “going well.”
He added: “We will see; it will become clear in the next 48 hours.”
Earlier, Trump had said that Washington and Tehran were holding talks aimed at ending the five-month conflict; however, Iranian officials have rejected any direct negotiations with the United States.
