Local sources in Khost province say that two young men died by suicide in separate incidents the previous day.
Sources told the Hasht-e Subh Daily on Thursday, September 24, that one of the young men was identified as Azizullah and was from the Khar Ghandi area of Tani district.
According to the sources, another young man died by suicide in the Marmandi area of Shamal district in Khost city.
The exact reasons behind the two incidents remain unclear.
The incidents come as Afghanistan continues to face widespread economic difficulties, unemployment and social pressures.
Cases of suicide have also been reported in other parts of the country. However, the causes of individual incidents require independent investigation and verification.
