The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) has said that its female staff in Afghanistan are working to provide health services and psychosocial support to mothers and families.
The organization said on Tuesday, September 8, that its female staff continue to work to maintain essential services for women and girls despite the challenges they face.
UNFPA emphasized that the health, well-being, and future of women and girls remain among the organization’s top priorities.
Women and girls in Afghanistan face widespread restrictions on access to education, employment, and some services, making the presence of female staff particularly important for the delivery of humanitarian assistance.
