The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has said that it is working to ensure that every vaccine dose in Afghanistan maintains its quality and effectiveness until it reaches children.
The organization wrote on its X account on Sunday, June 28, that access to effective vaccines plays a vital role in preventing various diseases and protecting children’s health.
UNICEF also noted the challenges some families face in accessing vaccination services, saying that some parents travel long distances to bring their children to health centers for immunization.
The organization emphasized that it will continue supporting vaccination programs so that more children across Afghanistan are protected against preventable diseases.
