Sources in Kabul say that a pump station employee in the “Jai-e Rais” area of Darul Aman was shot dead by a Taliban fighter, while another civilian was also wounded.
Sources told the Hasht-e Subh Daily on Monday, August 31, that the incident occurred following a verbal dispute over the amount of gas for a vehicle at a pump station.
According to the sources, the Taliban fighter, who is also a member of the group’s prison protection force, had requested 150 afghanis’ worth of gas for his vehicle, but the pump station employee mistakenly put in 200 afghanis’ worth of gas.
The sources added that after the employee requested an additional 50 afghanis, the fighter shot the pump station employee, killing him.
The incident occurred three days after a driver was killed by a Taliban fighter following a verbal dispute in the Qambar Square area of Kabul.
