The Bakhtar News Agency reported on Saturday, May 2, that these individuals include more than 1,000 families.
The United Nations says that only 11 percent of returnees are employed.
Two days earlier, around 800 families had also returned to the country.
The United Nations says that 2.8 million Afghan migrants returned to the country from Iran and Pakistan in 2025.
The UN Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) says that following the return of nearly three million migrants last year, Afghanistan’s population has increased by about 10 percent.
