Local sources in Maidan Wardak have reported a distressing incident of suicide occurring in the Jalrez district of the province.
The individual in question has been identified as Mohammad Nasim, a 38-year-old resident of the village of Sharfuddin Khel in Jalrez district, Maidan Wardak. According to reports, Nasim tragically ended his life on the morning of Tuesday, March 5, by throwing himself into a nearby well.
Family members of Nasim have revealed that he had been grappling with severe mental health issues, ultimately leading to his decision to take his own life.
Despite the gravity of the situation, authorities affiliated with the Taliban regime have not yet provided any commentary or official statement regarding this incident.
In a separate, yet equally distressing event earlier this week, a newlywed woman in the Qarabagh district of Ghazni province also succumbed to suicide by hanging herself.
