Badshah Sahi, a 21-year-old Afghan citizen and resident of Arlington, Texas, has been sentenced to 35 years in federal prison for producing and possessing child sexual abuse material.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Texas said Sahi pleaded guilty on April 1 to charges of producing and possessing child sexual abuse material.
According to court documents, Fort Worth police arrested him on February 28, 2025, on suspicion of sexually assaulting a child.
A search of Sahi’s phone uncovered numerous images and videos involving children, as well as messages he had exchanged with several minors.
Court documents state that in at least one case, Sahi used an online gaming platform to coerce a 10-year-old child in Indiana into producing and sending sexual material.
Police said Sahi knew the child was a minor but nevertheless requested sexual material from the child.
Authorities also found that he was in contact with a 15-year-old girl in San Marcos, Texas, and that he recorded the sexual assault of the girl after going to her residence.
Antoine Jones, acting special agent in charge of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Homeland Security Investigations office in Dallas, said Sahi entered the United States during the withdrawal of U.S. forces from Afghanistan in 2021 without undergoing the required screening.
