The Afghanistan Free of Polio organization has said that no child should become disabled because of polio and that vaccinating children is essential to prevent the spread of the disease.
The organization said on Wednesday, September 30, on its X account that the poliovirus can be transmitted by people of any age and urged the public not to become a source of transmission.
It called on people to get vaccinated when traveling, regardless of age, to help prevent the transmission and spread of the poliovirus.
Afghanistan Free of Polio stressed that vaccination can play an important role in preventing polio and reducing the risk of disability caused by the disease.
The organization has repeatedly called on the public to cooperate with vaccination campaigns and take steps to protect children from polio.
