Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, stated that the Bushehr nuclear power plant has been targeted by Israel and the United States in four separate bombing attempts so far.
Araghchi wrote on X on Saturday, April 4, that the radioactive fallout from these attacks would pose a threat not only to Iran but also to life in the capitals of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
He also added that U.S. attacks on Iran’s petrochemical facilities reveal the true objectives behind these actions.
Anatolia News Agency reported that one person was killed on Saturday following an attack on the Bushehr nuclear power plant in Iran.
According to the report, the deceased was a member of the plant’s security personnel, and one of the subsidiary buildings of the facility was damaged in the explosion.
This comes as more than a thousand people, including senior Iranian officials, have been killed and key facilities damaged since the beginning of the joint U.S. and Israeli campaign against Iran.
