The emergency hospital officials in Kabul report that 20 people were brought to this hospital due to the explosion accursed in a mosque at the premises of the Taliban’s Ministry of Interior. Two of them died on arrival.
The emergency hospital reported this on Wednesday, October 5, by posting a tweet.
Meanwhile, Abdul Nafeh Takoor, the spokesman of the Taliban’s Ministry of Interior Affairs, confirmed the explosion and said that it happened in a sub-mosque at the premises of the ministry. He added that employees and visitors of the Ministry of Interior used to go to this mosque for prayers.
He did not say anything about the casualties caused by this explosion.
The explosion took place in the compound of the Ministry of Interior Affairs of the Taliban.
Reports have also been published that at the time of the explosion, some officials of the Ministry of Interior of the Taliban were present at the scene of the incident.
So far there is no statice available on number of casualties and injuries taken to the other hospitals.
This happens while Kabul witnessed a deadly attack in the past week. Based on the UNAMA’s report, at least 53 people died and 110 others were injured in an explosion at the Kaj Educational Center last week.
Similarly, an explosion was reported at the premises of Pol-e Sokhta in west Kabul two days ago but did not get very much media coverage.
