The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) says that during the current winter, it has distributed 78,400 packages of wheat seeds to farmers across Afghanistan.
The organization added a message on Sunday, December 28, that these packages were provided at the appropriate time for planting.
The aforementioned organization emphasized that, with increasing hunger and malnutrition, helping farmers is a humanitarian measure.
However, the United Nations says that approximately 21 million people will be dependent on humanitarian aid in 2026.
The United Nations has also stated that in 2025, due to budget shortages, it will be forced to reduce its aid in Afghanistan.
