Hamdullah Fitrat, the deputy spokesman of the Taliban, stated that Pakistani rocket attacks in Kunar province killed one person and injured 16 others.
Fitrat reported on the evening of Sunday, March 29, that these attacks targeted areas around the center of Kunar province and people’s homes, resulting in civilian casualties.
The Taliban deputy spokesman added that most of those injured in the attacks were women and children.
Fitrat said that Pakistani military forces once again attacked people’s homes in Kunar province with heavy weapons today, around 5 p.m.
Earlier, Pakistani airstrikes in Afghanistan’s border areas also killed a significant number of civilians, and according to United Nations data, thousands of others have been forced to leave their homes.
