Local sources in Badakhshan say a generator explosion in Faizabad, the provincial capital, left three people dead and one injured.
The sources told the Hasht-e Subh Daily on Wednesday, September 16, that the explosion occurred in Chahosh Dara village, in the vicinity of Faizabad city.
According to the sources, the incident was caused by a technical malfunction in the generator.
The sources said the generator exploded inside the madrasa of Qari Abdul Rahman, a Taliban commander in Badakhshan.
However, the sources did not provide details about the identities of those killed or the medical condition of the only injured person.
