Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has said that Iran is not the target of the defense alliance between Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Pakistan.

Anadolu reported early Sunday, August 9, on X that the Turkish foreign minister said no country is the target of the alliance.

According to the report, when asked whether Iran or Israel was the target of the trilateral defense alliance, Fidan said neither country was the target.

He said: “No country that does not attack us is our target.”

This comes after Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan signed a trilateral defense pact in Riyadh last weekend.

However, details of the provisions of the trilateral defense pact have not yet been made public.
