Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov met on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit.
Tasnim reported on Monday, August 31, that the two leaders discussed bilateral cooperation and ways to strengthen relations.
According to the report, the two sides also discussed the latest regional and global developments and the need to make use of existing capacities.
The SCO summit was held on Monday in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, with the participation of leaders of its main and observer member states.
This comes as Afghanistan, which had observer status in the organisation, was not invited to the summit following the Taliban’s return to power.
