The Iranian Army has announced that it launched drone and missile attacks early Thursday on the Ahmad al-Jaber Air Base in Kuwait and the Al Minhad Air Base, which hosts US forces, in the United Arab Emirates.
Tasnim reported on Thursday, September 3, that the attacks were carried out in response to recent US strikes on southern Iran.
According to the report, the Iranian Army claimed that the attacks targeted satellite communication systems, equipment storage facilities and fighter jet hangars used by the US military at the base in Kuwait.
The Iranian Army also claimed that it destroyed the positions of US forces and US military radar systems at Al Minhad Air Base in the UAE.
This comes amid renewed tensions between Iran and the United States over control of the Strait of Hormuz, raising concerns about further escalation, a potential complete closure of the strait and its impact on the global economy.
