The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran has claimed that it targeted the US airbase and control center “Al-Azraq” in Jordan with 12 ballistic missiles and destroyed several American fighter jets.

The Fars News Agency reported on Thursday, June 11, that IRGC forces struck a site where US fighter jets were reportedly stationed.

According to the report, the IRGC claimed that the attack hit locations housing F-35, F-15, and F-16 fighter jets, as well as other “important facilities” of the US military at the base.

The IRGC also stated that this US base was targeted in response to US missile strikes on locations inside Iran.

Earlier, Iranian media also reported IRGC attacks on US bases in Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan.

Meanwhile, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) has also reported “additional defensive strikes” ordered by US President Donald Trump on targets across Iran.

In recent days, reciprocal attacks between Iran and the United States have intensified.

However, Washington and Tehran have been engaged in negotiations for weeks, mediated by Pakistan, to end the war, reopen the Strait of Hormuz, and resolve Iran’s nuclear issue.
