North Korea’s ruling Workers’ Party re-elected Kim Jong Un as general secretary at a party congress meeting on Sunday.
The KCNA state news agency reported that elected members of the party Central Committee adopted revisions to the party rules.
It did not provide details of the changes to the party charter.
Kim Jong Un’s re-election as General Secretary of the Workers’ Party comes as international analysts view it as a sign underlining his absolute grip on power and his greater confidence in domestic stability.
