Local sources in Badakhshan province say a landslide has destroyed the water pipeline in Jamarch Aliyah village, in Maimay district.
Sources told the Hasht-e Subh Daily on Monday, September 14, that the pipeline supplies water to 300 families, more than 500 hectares of agricultural land, and the area’s forests.
According to the sources, the destruction of the water supply route has placed the lives of local families, agricultural land, and natural resources in the area at serious risk.
