Sources in Ghazni province say that a man was brutally killed in Jaghori district of the province.
The sources told The Hasht-e Subh Daily on Monday, August 24, that the burned body of a 26-year-old man was found in the Chihil Baghtuy Uqi area of Jaghori district.
According to the sources, the young man was identified as Abdul Khaliq Hazara, and his body was found in a mountainous area five days after he went missing.
The sources said the motive behind the killing remains unclear.
This comes as several cases of mysterious killings of tribal elders, former military personnel, and civilians have been reported in different parts of the country in recent days.
The increase in killings, however, challenges the Taliban’s claims of ensuring nationwide security.
