Local sources say a money changer was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Ghazni province on Wednesday.
Sources told the Hasht-e Subh Daily on Thursday, Sept. 24, that the young man, identified as Gulbuddin, was killed in Wali Dad village of Qarabagh district, Ghazni.
According to the sources, the young man was inside his vehicle when he was shot by unidentified gunmen.
Sources added that the man’s father works at the Taliban’s police headquarters in Ghazni.
No further details have been released about the motive or circumstances of the killing.
The killing comes a day after reports emerged of at least five people being killed in different parts of Afghanistan.
In recent days, reports of criminal incidents, armed robberies, killings and insecurity have emerged from various parts of the country. Some residents have also accused the Taliban of failing to ensure security.
