Taliban-controlled media have reported that 939 refugee families returned to Afghanistan on Tuesday.
According to the Taliban-run Bakhtar News Agency, on Wednesday, October 8, a total of 258 families entered through Torkham in Nangarhar, 536 through Spin Boldak in Kandahar, 36 via Pul-e Abrisham in Nimruz, and 109 through Islam Qala in Herat.
Two days earlier, nearly 1,000 other families had also returned to the country.
The forced deportation of Afghan refugees from Iran and Pakistan continues, with reports indicating that a second wave of expulsions from Iran has begun in recent days.
