Human rights organisation Hengaw has reported that two citizens of Afghanistan have been executed in Iran’s Isfahan Central Prison on charges related to drug offences.
In a statement on Monday, 2 November, the organisation said the two men were identified as 43-year-old Mubarak Mohammadi and 49-year-old Qasim Molla Amini, both originally from the city of Sheberghan.
Hengaw added that the two citizens had been arrested about two years ago on charges of transporting drugs and were sentenced to death in a joint case.
The organisation said their death sentences were carried out on 21 October 2026.
However, Iranian judicial authorities and state-run media have neither confirmed nor denied the report so far.
