The internet monitoring group NetBlocks has announced that widespread disruptions in internet access across Iran are continuing, and that the situation has had serious impacts on people’s daily lives and economic activities.
NetBlocks reported on Thursday, May 7, that internet restrictions and outages in Iran have entered their 69th day.
The organization stated that approximately 1,632 hours have passed since the nationwide internet shutdown in Iran, which has led to a severe reduction in online communications both within and outside the country.
NetBlocks also emphasized that these outages have had widespread economic impacts and have affected the livelihoods of many Iranian citizens.
Since the start of a joint U.S. and Israeli war against Iran, nationwide internet access in the country has also been cut, leaving people deprived of access to information and online services.
