The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has announced that its contact group on Afghanistan will hold a meeting on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly.
The organization said in a statement posted on X early Sunday, September 20, that it will hold meetings of several ministerial contact groups.
According to the statement, in addition to Afghanistan, the contact group meetings will discuss the issue of Palestine, Jammu and Kashmir, and the Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar.
The statement said the OIC delegation to the United Nations General Assembly will be led by Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed, Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
However, the OIC has not specified a date for the meeting of the contact group on Afghanistan or the other issues.
