Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister, has traveled from London to Turkey to meet with Turkish officials and hold consultations.
Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a post on X on Sunday, August 30, that Ishaq Dar had arrived in Istanbul.
The ministry said the purpose of the Pakistani foreign minister’s visit to Turkey is to meet with Turkish officials and discuss recent defense agreements between the two countries.
This comes after Turkey, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia recently signed a trilateral defense pact.
The signing of the pact amid heightened tensions in the Middle East and the Red Sea has raised concerns in several countries, including Iran and Israel.
