Qatar has strongly condemned Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz’s entry into Syrian territory and his crossing of international borders.
Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Wednesday, August 26, that the move was a clear violation of Syria’s sovereignty and international law and posed a serious threat to regional security.
Doha called on the international community to take immediate action to stop Israeli attacks on Syrian territory and stressed the implementation of the 1974 ceasefire agreement.
Qatar also reaffirmed its full support for Syria’s sovereignty, independence, territorial integrity, and the security and stability of its people.
Israeli military actions inside Syria have increased in recent months and have drawn reactions from countries in the region.
