Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad, the country’s Minister of State for International Cooperation, met with Roza Otunbayeva, the UN secretary-general’s special representative for Afghanistan and head of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA).
The meeting was held on Wednesday, Sept. 23, on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
However, the ministry did not provide further details about the main topics discussed between Al Misnad and Otunbayeva.
Otunbayeva recently began serving as the UN secretary-general’s special representative for Afghanistan and head of UNAMA.
