The Taliban have reported that seven people, including five children and two adults, were killed in the explosion of an unexploded ordnance in Paktika province.
Radio Police, which is under Taliban control, wrote on X on Tuesday, June 9, that four other children were injured in the incident.
According to the report, the incident occurred when a resident attempted to break open the explosive device.
The explosion took place in the Barmal district of Paktika province.
The Taliban have urged people to avoid touching or approaching unexploded ordnance.
