The South Korean government has announced that it has no plans to deploy troops to the Strait of Hormuz.
Al Jazeera reported on Wednesday, September 9, that Seoul and France discussed security and freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
South Korean officials emphasized that the talks do not mean a decision has been made to deploy troops to the region.
Meanwhile, concerns have grown over escalating tensions and possible disruptions to shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.
