Local sources in Ghazni have reported the closure of an educational center and a private school by the Taliban due to the presence of female students.
Sources speaking to Hasht-e Subh have stated that on Sunday, September 3rd, these two educational institutions were forcibly shut down by Taliban officials responsible for overseeing education and enforcing their interpretation of virtue and vice.
These sources emphasize that the gates of the educational center were closed by the Taliban while several female students were actively participating in a classroom session.
According to reports, the Taliban also sealed the entrance of the private school due to the presence of a male kindergarten student among a class of 20 girls.
Last Wednesday, the Taliban similarly shut down a private language and computer education center in Ghazni province.
It is essential to mention that, in line with the strict restrictions imposed on women by the Taliban, this group banned female students from attending educational institutions in this province nearly a month ago and issued a warning that no girl has the right to attend educational centers.
For the past two years, the Taliban have prohibited girls from attending schools and higher-level female institutions beyond the sixth grade.
