Local sources in Ghor province report that the son of a Taliban commander in this province has killed a young girl.
Sources told Hasht-e Subh on Saturday, April 29, that the son of a Taliban commander and another fighter in his group shot and killed a young girl on Thursday night, April 27, in the Sad-Seyah area of Firozkuh, the center of Ghor province, after they failed to rape her.
According to sources, the son of the Taliban commander had been in a friendly relationship with the girl’s family for years, and on Thursday night, he went to her house and attempted to rape her, but she resisted and was eventually killed by him.
It is reported that the father and brothers of the victim beat up the Taliban commander’s son and the other fighter, but they were saved from their grasp because the attackers were Taliban.
Taliban officials in Ghor have not commented on the incident.
It is worth mentioning that Taliban commanders and fighters have been accused of sexual assault in several provinces of Afghanistan.
It should be noted that with the Taliban’s control over the country, they have always punished citizens for extramarital relationships.
