The Taliban have declared 2,500 hectares of land in Khost province as “Emirate-Owned Property” and taken control of it.
The Taliban’s Ministry of Justice (MoJ) said on Saturday, May 2, that this amount of land was identified as “Emirate-Owned Property” by the group’s special court.
The Taliban claimed that 2,501 hectares of land in the Ismail Khel and Mandozai districts were recognized as “Emirate-owned property” by the Special Court for Handling Cases of Land Seizure.
In recent days, the Taliban have also declared more than 300 hectares of land in the Omid Sabz township in western Kabul and nearly 180 hectares of land in eastern Kabul as “emirate-owned property.”
The actions of the Taliban’s “Commission for Preventing Land Grabbing” have recently raised widespread concerns among citizens.
