The Taliban have announced that 354 families, comprising 1,560 people, were forcibly returned to Afghanistan the previous day.
Hamdullah Fitrat, deputy spokesman for the Taliban, said in a statement on Thursday, September 24, that 101 families, comprising 512 people, entered Afghanistan through the Torkham crossing in Nangarhar.
According to the statement, 41 families, comprising 165 people, also entered Afghanistan through the Spin Boldak crossing in Kandahar.
The Taliban said 174 families, comprising 165 people, entered the country through the Silk Bridge in Nimroz.
Another 38 families, comprising 121 people, returned to Afghanistan through the Islam Qala border crossing in Herat.
