Mullah Abdul Waseh, the general director of the Taliban’s Prime Minister’s Office, in a meeting with a number of representatives of the nomads, praised their role in the war during the last 20 year.
Office of the Taliban’s PM wrote in a newsletter on Tuesday, November 15, that the head of the office, Mullah Hassan Akhund, “has appreciated the achievements of the nomads during the Jihad.”
He said that the nomads play an important role in strengthening the economy of Afghanistan and promised to solve their problems through the relevant bodies.
According to this newsletter, the elders of the Kochi tribe have assured “of their cooperation under any circumstances” with the Taliban.
Quoting the visitors, the newspaper wrote: “Our people are ready to serve like the army without any privilege, and we continue to cooperate in order to strengthen security.”
According to the newsletter, they have also raised their suggestions and problems in the fields of protection of achievements, health, education, usurpation of grasslands, and sale of livestock and their products.
This is despite the fact that during the past years, many reports have been published about the attack of armed Taliban with the identity of nomads to the central and northern regions of the country and also their mutual cooperation to occupy the regions.
On the other hand, the Taliban are accused of forcibly evacuating the local residents in a number of provinces and handing over their lands and properties to the nomads after their domination.
It has also been reported that in some cases, the Taliban have concluded the disputes between local residents and the nomads in favor of the nomads without documents and proves. The decisions have usually been made on the bases allegation and claim by the nomads.
